Says it's cruelty-free. Not certified yet.
AHAVA's own help centre says it never tests on animals and calls itself a vegan brand, but it isn't certified by Leaping Bunny / Cruelty Free International, and PETA says it may not be cruelty-free because it isn't on PETA's list. So this is the brand's word only.
Does AHAVA test on animals?
AHAVA says it doesn't test on animals, but it isn't certified, so nobody independent has checked. What it says is below.
What they say: Its own site says: "No. As a vegan brand, we never perform tests on animals or use any animal-derived ingredients."
What that means: AHAVA isn't certified by Leaping Bunny / Cruelty Free International or PETA yet, so nobody independent has checked this. Plenty of honest brands haven't applied, and some products, like paper goods, don't fit the main schemes well. It's the brand's word, so the choice is yours.
