Tests on animals, or sells where it's required.
Likely tests on animals (my judgement). Nature Republic isn't certified cruelty-free and has no animal testing statement I could find, but its own brand history says it got a Chinese hygiene permit for a cream in 2016 (when that meant animal tests) and has stores in China. China's rules can require animal testing for cosmetics sold there. In my view that makes it more likely than not that its products are tested on animals, so I list it as 'tests'. This is my judgement based on China's rules, not something the brand has said.
